Come join us for this month’s education class as guest speaker, Bethany Cain presents Teepa Snow’s presentation on GEMS. The GEMS presentation is beneficial for the Alzheimer caregiver(s) because it provides positive reinforcement on what your loved one can still do during the disease process rather than what they are no longer able to do. As caregivers this will help you to be able focus on what your loved ones strong points are and what they are still able to enjoy doing while trying to keep them at the same cognitive level for as long as possible.
All are welcome but reservations for the class are requested. Please call the Carol Strawn Center to make your reservation at (740) 345-5190.
Cost: Free for Licking County residents age 60 or older. Donations are appreciated from non-Licking County residents and those under age 60.
Specializing in adult day service for people with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias, the Carol Strawn Center is funded by donors, program fees, the Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging, the Licking County Senior Citizens Levy and the United Way of Licking County.
