‘Mining the Qhapaq Ñan’

Wednesday, March 27 - 9:00 AM

The Denison Museum presents: "Mining the Qhapaq Ñan." On display Monday, Jan. 15, through Monday, April 1, at the Denison Museum (240 West Broadway).

Micaela de Vivero’s exhibition “Mining the Qhapaq Ñan” reflects, through the use of hand-made paper, fibers, gold, and silver leaf, on the historical narratives of South America. Using illustrations of the time, images of ancient artifacts, and personal experiences as source material, Vivero offers an alternative perspective to power struggles as a gesture of decolonization.
