Weathervane Playhouse will be holding auditions for their 2012 summer season. Weathervane Playhouse is Ohio’s longest running professional summer stock theatre, producing award winning summer productions since 1969. Auditions will be held at the Weathervane Playhouse in Newark, Ohio at the following dates and times:
Saturday. February 11, 2012
9:30AM – 4:00PM Singers / Actors (you may be called back for a dance call on Saturday afternoon and to read or sing later that evening)
4:00PM-6:00PM Dance Call
7PM-10PM Reading/Singing Callbacks
Please prepare 32 bars of two contrasting musical theatre songs. Please bring sheet music in your key, an accompanist will be provided. Also prepare a one-minute monologue.
There will be a dance call and movement callback. Please bring proper dance attire and shoes (flats, heels and tap shoes if you have them). You may be asked to prepare material for later in the day or to read from a script.
Some roles may include pay or stipend.
**NOTE: The summer 2012 season will follow a repertory format for all actors. All actors will be required to act as ASMs in any production that they are not performing in. Additional duties in costumes, set design, lighting, or admin will be required of any shows in which they are not cast.
